Here is the latest tour date news from the world of JASON ALDEAN. Catch Rich on all of these dates and watch for CRASH COURSE clinic dates sprinkled throughout.
Nashville, TN – July 12, 2010 – Multi-platinum country rocker Jason Aldean will extend his WIDE OPEN arena tour into the Fall with an additional 25 dates across the nation. After selling out 39 shows on the first run and breaking attendance records on both coasts, the WIDE OPEN tour will kick back off on Sept. 10 with special guest Luke Bryan joining on the majority of dates.
“We’ve had such a great year with some really big songs and our first big arena tour, and I’m just not ready to move on from it quite yet,” laughs Aldean. “All of us...my band, crew, Luke, and his guys...we’ve been having a blast out on the road together. I think the fans can feel that too. There are a few things to count on...the music will be loud, the beer will be cold, and college football will be on every TV backstage and in the parking lot!”
Aldean is currently in the studio preparing the follow up to 2009’s PLATINUM selling WIDE OPEN. His first three albums have sold more than 3.5 million copies and spawned nine smash hits including “She’s Country,” “Big Green Tractor,” “The Truth,” Why” and “Hicktown.” In the last 13 months Aldean has spent more time at the No. one spot than any other country artist, claiming nine weeks at the summit with three consecutive multi-week chart-toppers. As a tour headliner he has smashed attendance records and continues to pack thousands of fans into sold-out arenas across the country.

Hey there! Welcome to my brand NEW website! This site will be very detailed and rich in content. Hmm...Where to start? It has been such a wild ride in recent years. How about 2009? What a year! This was the year that took my association with country rocker Jason Aldean to another level! A big ‘thank you’ goes out to the fans and the folks at radio. I am very proud to be part of the Jason Aldean Band. We are in our 6th year of non stop recording and touring. We have recorded 3 multi platinum albums, 10 singles, 4 of which were #1 hits...”Why” in 2006, “She’s Country” in 2009, “Big Green Tractor” in 2009 and “The Truth” in 2010. There were even records set for platinum downloads and platinum ringtones. We did all of the Award Shows and jammed with guitar slinger Keith Urban and pop icon Bryan Adams. We even released a gold selling live dvd called "Jason Aldean: Wide Open And More".
HUGE thanks to all of the folks that voted for me in the 2010 Modern Drummer Magazine Reader Polls. I would also like to thank the amazing staff of Modern Drummer Magazine.
The results:
#1 Country Drummer
#1 Clinician
#1 Recorded Performance (for Jason Aldean's 'Wide Open')
As always, I continue to record with artists on Music Row and beyond. Recent and upcoming releases include work with/on:
-A new tune by composer Steve Freeman, which will be featured in it's entirety on HBO's hit show, 'True Blood'.
-Steel Magnolia’s EP and single “Keep On Lovin’ You”, currently in the top ten. The track also appears on the ‘Valentine’s Day’ motion picture soundtrack.
-3 new tracks for Broken Bow’s Crossin Dixon, produced by Garrett Parris
-A new record for Canadian faves The Stellas, produced by Nick Trevisick
-Tracked new sides for musician/actor Christian Kane’s (Tv’s ‘Leverage’) EP available on Itunes. The legendary Bob Ezrin (Kiss, Pink Floyd) produced along with Jimmie Lee Slaos. LA rock demon Brian Virtue engineered. Great sounds. Great Fun.
-Played percussion on new and upcoming releases by: Josh Thompson (Check out the radio hit “Beer On The Table”), Trace Adkins, Frankie Ballard, The Lost Trailers, Montgomery Gentry, and Chuck Wicks.
I co-produced (with partners in New Voice Entertainment) and played drums and percussion on new singles from Ash Bowers, Thompson Square and Blake Wise. Currently working with Texas songstress Katie Armiger, hot Carolina band Parmalee, and a new latin country duo yet to be named.
I am ALWAYS grateful to have some of the world’s greatest songwriter’s consistently hire me for their recordings (and some new faces):
-Jon Edwards, Amy Dalley, Brian Davis, Justin Weaver, Kelly Archer, Blair Daly, Sherrie Austin, Anthony Smith, Patricia Conroy, The Stellas, Gil Grand, Brady Seals, Richie MacDonald, Brady Seals, Jon Roniger, Jim Reilley, Dillon Dixon, members of 3 Doors Down, Jeremy Popoff (Lit),Jami Grooms, Garrett Parris, Carey Barlowe, Randy Montana, Alex Dooley, Bobby Tomberlin, Vicky McGehee, Lee Brice, Blair Daly, Steve Bogard, Krista Marie, Will Rambeaux, Danny Myrick, Troy Jones, Kyle Jacobs, Joe Lethers, and many more.
I ALWAYS love playing live in Nashville with: -Dave Pahanish, Emily West, Julie Forrester and others.
I am SO proud of how far my new production company (NEW VOICE ENTERTAINMENT) has come in 2 years. The production team consists of Tully Kennedy, Kurt Allison, David Fanning and myself. My relati onship with these characters goes back over 10 years. We forged our path with blood, sweat, diesel fumes and friendship. We recently tracked new sides with Broken Bow/Stoney Creek recording artists: Ash Bowers, Thompson Square, Blake Wise... We also tracked with indie stars Finesse, Krista Marie, Natalie Anne and Brad Long. Finesse was the rapper in our underground remix fave of Jason Aldean’s “She’s Country” Smash. This is also available on Itunes.
We are always in search of new talent. Feel free to contact us at:

Big thanks goes out to the fine folks at DRUM! Magazine for the recent articles and interviews:
-I recorded a nice drum sample/loop collection called “Modern/Indie Rock High Voltage Drums” for Big Fish Audio. The package is being mixed and edited as we speak. It will be available as a download and in a physical form. I played drums at Danny White’s 16 Ton Studios in Nashville for 17 hours straight! The project was engineered by Mike Esser and co-produced by myself, Phil Symonds Sean Rorie. Film and TV composers will dig the earthy low-fi sounds for their compositions. Stay tuned.
-My new reality based DVD (tentatively called ‘Working The Dream/A Week In The Life Of A Working Drummer’) is in the final stages of editing. It sheds light on the realities of splitting time between traveling, recording, teaching and producing. The film was shot and edited by my friend Jim McCarthy, who also plays drums. The film will be available on this site and at my CRASH drum events. Stay tuned.
-The Jason Aldean Band recorded ‘unplugged’ versions of Jason’s big hits recently. The tracks are available on Itunes. We are also in the middle of recording Jason’s 4th record. Tons of great songs. I can’t wait to release this one. The first single is very DIFFERENT. Stay tuned.
-As always, I continue to pursue educational endeavors with my CRASH COURSE FOR SUCCESS Drum Events. Check out more info on my motivational drumming events at: www.crashcourseforsuccess.com
